As of October 6, A Birdy Told Me…will turn one years old. All growns up. I just love sharing links of fun finds with my friends. Your finds inspire me too so please keep them coming…and thank you for reading Birdy whenever you can find a bit of time. All your feedback and support keeps me churning away…
Tom Dixon makes my favorite highball glasses. They’re weighty yet so elegant. Here’s a lower cost option I just came across.
Ooooh, these thinker bookends on Amazon are fabulous.
Comfy Mary Janes for the gals. Classic rain boot for the guys.
My nail color choice for this month…but next I want to try one of these minimalist nail designs.
A pretty vase for greenery. And if you’re embracing the color trend of cobalt blue, this is a fun choice.
I like the idea of linen arm covers for the chilly days ahead. On the higher end, Mongolian cashmere sure sounds nice.
A house tour full of inspiring textures and patterns.
If you want to add storage baskets into your decor, these woven leather beauties are on point.
1 dough, 3 baguettes. Love this. (Thanks Matt)
Sheldon the stuffed shrimp.
I believe it’s okay to splurge on one special item for a room…like this timeless and elegant wall sconce.
Incense for cooler temps.
After eight days without power from the hurricane here in Savannah, the lights (and AC!) finally kicked back on in my house last night. Next storm, I think I should be better prepared. Just this simple (and stylish) item from Target would have been nice to have in hand.
I took a meander around historic Savannah this week with my friend Libbie Summers. She was sporting this bag from Shorty Love, which proved perfect for a city walk.
Along our stroll we went to the Design District and both fell in love with these chic silicone diamond rings. I tried a few on and liked the black one the most.
My local bookstore has this series of Object Lessons books, which I found enjoyable to peruse. Each book shares insight into a single object and reveals something unexpected. Book subjects include bread, hair, golf ball, phone booth, bookshelf, mushroom and whale song. They’re fun.
And I also found this book, a great read (and visual feast) for any artist.
French onion and apple grilled cheese is the sandwich you need this fall.
Small, meaningful efforts towards healing Mother Nature is always a good idea…and we’re often rewarded in unexpected ways.
My sister sent me this video of Dr. Weil’s popular 4, 7, 8 breathing technique. If done for just a few minutes each day, you’ll receive incredible health benefits. We’re both giving it a try and checking in with each other in a few weeks to see how we feel. Let the healing begin…
And after your deep breathing, try an awe walk or watch this documentary on Netflix, it’s exceptional. Happy weekend…
Congrats, Pam!! I always look forward to this in my email and happily click away at the links for your amazing finds. Here's to another fabulous year!
Happy Birthday Birdy! and my goodness, what a wonderful packed full installment. thank you for all the Friday inspiration
